ポール・マッカートニーが書いた曲。
この曲がセカンド・アルバムに既にあることが、
やはりスゴイ。
アメリカでは翌年、
1964年1月20日アルバム『Meet the Beatles!』でリリース。
イギリスやアメリカでは、
シングルではリリースされていない。
ただイギリスでは、
この曲をタイトルにしたEPが1964年2月7日に出ている。

ルーズベルト病院の緊急治療室で死亡が宣告された際、
音響システムから流れていたのがこの曲と言われている。

デイヴ・ブルーベック・カルテット、
1959年のアルバム『Time Out』に入っている『Kathy’s Waltz』。
確かに、
そっくりなメロディが一瞬出てくる。

そんなジョンの珍しい連音符の連続3連符を刻むリズム・ギター。
これは当時人気だった、
クリスタルズ1963年の『Da Doo Ron Ron』に似ている。
